The next two weeks are going to be hectic. It's this time of year again, and I'm packing up home and hearth to go on my annual migration back to the West Coast. Except this year there will be a not so little European detour...
The next couple of weeks will be especially hectic though. I'm getting on a plane in a couple of hours to fly back to Portland as I usually do this time of year. But this time once I get there, I'll be driving up to Seattle for the MVP Summit for a couple of days. I wasn't planning on going originally due to some schedule conflicts but as it turns out it looks like will be able to go for a couple of days at least. I look forward to seeing many of you there again...
Then it's back to Hood River again for a few days followed by another trip to ASP.NET Connections in Orlando the following weekend. I'm doing 3 sessions there and I'm scrambling to find the time to get ready as we speak between travel time and other obligations <g>... nothing like burning a little midnight oil at the last minute to add to the stress factor <g>. My own fault though - I had plenty of time, but procrastination got the better of me <sigh>.
I'm looking forward to both events and hooking up with other developers. I've taken a little time off from travelling this year - I haven't gone anywhere since I returned to Maui last November and it feels good to stay put without flying around constantly. But it's also felt a little isolated so this ought to be a little more invigorating for me than usual...
Once I'm back from DevConnections I'll have another week in Hood River before heading off to Europe for work and play. I get to go to Geneva for a few weeks for work and to spend some time travelling around Europe in general. It's been quite a while since I've been back in Europe and Germany and it'll be good for me to break the routine of going back and forth between Maui and Hood River each year. It's been a while since I've visit my parents in Berlin too, so let the Schlemmer Tour begin! <g>
But first - it's back on the road again and trying to sleep in a tiny airplane seat next to some behemoth who snores like a lumber mill <g>...
Anyways, I hope to see some of you either at the MVP Conference or at DevConnections... stop by and say hello!
